1/20 Oz Maple Leaf gold coin (2022-2024)

1/20 oz. Maple Leaf coins are an inexpensive way of starting a gold investment portfolio. The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf has gold content of 99.99% millesimal fineness (24 carats) and is the purest bullion coin in the world. Maple Leaf coins are struck by the Royal Canadian Mint. The coin was first introduced in 1979, during one of the most tumultuous years the gold market saw in the 20th century. Up until then, the only bullion coin in existence was the South African Krugerrand.

Each 1/20 oz. Maple Leaf coin represents 1.5551 grams of pure gold (24 carats). As Canada is a bilingual nation, each gold coin is labelled both in English and in French, respectively, “Fine Silver / Argent Pur”. The obverse of the coin shows the Canadian Maple Leaf, the country’s instantly recognisable national symbol; the reverse is a profile of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II.
