This silver coin is decorated with a very detailed image of a seahorse, one of the oldest animal species in the world. Seahorses are found in the deepest parts of the ocean and therefore also in the waters surrounding the Caribbean. The coin’s design depicts two of these eye-catching sea creatures. The surrounding text reads “Carribean Silver”, which refers to the Caribbean island of Barbados. The face value of 1 Barbados Dollar is stated on the reverse.
