This coin is minted in fine gold with the highest 99.999% purity – which is even higher than the gold content of the original Maple Leaf coin series. As a sequel to the 2014 Howling Wolf, this edition has been produced with a detailed illustration of the cougar.

Characteristics of the Growling Cougar 2015
Call of the Wild is a three-part series of gold coins inspired by Canadian wildlife. The series will be introduced over a period of three years and debuted in 2014. The obverse of the coin reveals the image of the growling cougar after which this coin is named. The cougar is also known as a mountain lion and is strictly native to the Americas. The reverse of this coin features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
