1 Oz Koala 2015 silver coin

The 1 Oz 2015 silver Koala coin is part of the annual Koala series issued by the Australian Perth Mint.  Every year a new silver coin is minted with a unique koala design. This silver 2015 Koala coin has a purity of 999 silver  with a diameter of 40.4 mm and is 2.7 millimeters thick. The weight of 1 Troy Oz converts to approximately 31.1 grams. The nominal value of the silver Koala 2015 is set at 1 Australian dollar, which is also minted on the reverse of the coin.

This coin has a number of special features and has been impeccably designed. The Perth Mint has minted the coin with a unique koala illustration for the 2015 issue of the coin. The design features an adult koala sitting in the branch of a eucalyptus tree. The flipside of the silver coin reveals the famous image of a crowned Elizabeth II, Queen of England and head of the Commonwealth.
