The Lunar coin series is annually issued by Australia’s Perth Mint and is known for its exceptionally designed coins. The series is inspired by symbols from the Chinese zodiac in which each year of a 12-year cycle is represented by a different creature. In 2018 the design of this silver coin features a dog with puppy accompanied by the text “Year of the Dog”.
