The inspiration behind the 1 Oz Maid Marian 2022 silver coin

The design of this 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams) coin has been inspired by Maid Marian, who is considered to be an important character in the legend of Robin Hood. She is known to be his female companion, however, several versions of this story exist. The actual existence of Maid Marian and Robin Hood has never been proven, but according to historians it seems likely that their story is based on real people from history.
